Lacey is a sweet and fun loving puppy who would love to be the center of your universe. She LOVES everyone she meets, including other dogs. She’d make a great companion for someone who loves to go for walks/hikes or would make an even better running partner – she does great on a leash (she'd also make a great agility training partner if someone were looking for that type of dog). She loves being outside when it’s nice out but also loves hanging indoors playing with her toys as well! She is super, silky soft and loves to receive cuddles and kisses.
Lacey is a higher energy puppy energy so will need a person/family willing to ensure she receives the daily outlets for her energy. Ideally, she wouldn't be confined to a crate more than 4-5 hours a day because she just want to be out and about exploring her world. She’s a very eager to please girl and quite submissive to other dogs. She would love to have a doggie friend to run and play with her every day (preferably a somewhat younger dog as her current energy level isn't overly appreciated by her foster's older dogs who like the "quiet" life).
Lacey knows how to sit and is potty/crate trained but she is still trying to master a few other tricks, like not jumping on people. She just is so excited to meet/see her friends, she sometimes gets a bit carried away. She is at the age where some pups like to chew as their are teething and getting their adult teeth but this type of chewing typically passes once their new teeth come in.
All in all, Lacey is a great girl – full of spunk and lots of love. She would make a great family pet but would probably be better in a home with older children as she is still mastering the "not jumping" command. Lacey's new owners should also be prepared to want to attend formal training with her. She didn't have much training/direction in her first home but she's very eager to please and does well with positive reinforcement (and has already learned sit and off commands in just one week.

She’s scheduled for her spay and vaccinations next week.  If you are interested in Lacey fill out our application at cockernation.org.
