Snatched from death's claws this little blonde and white cocker spaniel is well behaved, happy, and loves to be close to you.  She prefers to sleep with her humans laying one paw over the top of your back or your chest.  Sammi loves her kongs especially if there's a little treat inside for her to discover.

The night Samantha first came to our home she was very ill. We had no idea just how ill she was till the next evening when she coughed up blood.  Off to the emergency room vet we went!  Pnuemonia from kennel cough.  Oh what a night we had together!  She could barely breathe at all.  I surely thought she wouldn't make it through the night but as luck would have it, she did make it through the night.

Now completely recovered adjusting well, Samantha is scheduled to be spayed this Tuesday with a weeks recooperation.  At the end of that week, she'll be ready for a new home.  Samantha is very friendly with children as well as adults but would do best in a single animal home as she tends to be dominant.  She likes to guard her kongs/toys from other espcially large dogs.  These appear to be insecurity issues on Sammi's part. 

Samantha does have a cataract in her one eye but appears to have sight in that eye.
