I am holding out for the perfect home.  My name is Moose.  My foster mom calls me the perfect dog. I am a very well mannered, smart dog.  I know sit, shake, speak, lay down and stay.  I LOVE to go for a walk daily, (I pull on the leash a bit).  I have a gentle lead harness that works perfect.  I ride nice in the car - I curl up in my bed or sit and look out the window. I don't lick and am very polite when taking treats.

I sleep in my own bed (next to my mom's bed) at night.  I like to be close...the perfect spot might be in your bed. (My foster mom has 2 dogs and there just isn't room for 3 in her bed). I sleep through the night - not a peep out of me.

I like to be with you and will sneak through a gate if you are out of sight.    I cannot be crated -I will try to get out and create terrible sores on my mouth.  I am VERY well mannered, I don't have accidents and I am not destructive.  I have free run of the house when left alone.

I love a game of fetch, if you toss me a toy I will race and get it then prance back to you to play some more.  Do you mind noise?  I am very vocal when I get excited.  "ROOR ROOR ROOR!!!".

I am currently living with 2 older Cockers right now.  I do ok with my foster brothers, but I really would like to be the top dog and I am somewhat protective of my foster mom. I have growled at one of my foster brothers and  I am quickly  reminded that my behavior is not appropriate.  I wouldn't mind being an only dog that gets ALL the attention.

I have a prey drive and would like to chase birds, squirrels, rabbits, etc.  I would like to have a fenced yard to run  in.

I would like to go on daily walks and play fetch with my toys.  I have a fair amount of energy for my age (9 yrs).

I go to work with my foster mom a couple days a week. I am very well behaved and everyone loves me.  I would love a home that someone could be with me much of the time.

A fenced yard and not a lot of stairs would be a perfect home.  My back knee troubles me every so often.

My dream home:   A fenced yard, daily walks/exercise, someone that can spend lots of time with me, possibly an only dog.

Moose would do best with adults. Unknown with kids (he did not enjoy young kids when he was around them for a short time) and unknown with cats. He does have a prey drive.
