Baylee lived with the same family for 12 years. The couple recently got divorced and for unknown reasons neither party was able to make the commitment to care for Baylee any longer. She is currently living in a foster home with 2 other dogs. She gets along with both of them, although she is not much for playing. Baylee has been microchipped and spayed and also recently had a dental (teeth cleaning) on 11/23/15 where she has several decaying teeth removed. She also had a few growths removed while she was under anesthesia. She is recovering well and back to her happy, hungry self. If you call for her and she doesn't come running, she isn't ignoring you. Baylee is believed to be completely deaf. It is unknown if she has always been deaf or if her deafness has come along with her age. She is being treated for a pretty nasty ear infection but her hearing hasn't returned, so it's likely it won't. The absence of one sense makes another stronger. Baylee can smell food anywhere! She finds stairs a bit difficult due to her age and weight, although it's not impossible. Big soft beds are particularly import for Baylee as she cannot jump on furniture. She is potty trained and very well behaved. She is a typical senior dog who nothing more than to spend her final years with her very own loving family. If you are interested in adopting Baylee, please fill out the application at cockernation.org All applicants must have an approved vet check and home visit before meeting our dogs.
